El Salvador's Funes to meet with Lobo of Honduras

Thursday, October 25, 2012

Mauricio Funes, the president of El Salvador, confirmed that he will meet in San Salvador with his Honduran counterpart, Porfirio Lobo, to discuss bilateral issues.

Lobo is set to arrive in San Salvador as a guest at the inauguration of the new board of the Central American Parliament, which will be chaired for one year by Salvadoran congressman Leonel Bucaro.

Among the topics to be addressed by the two leaders is Isla Conejo, a half-square-kilometer island located in the Gulf of Fonseca, in the Pacific Ocean, whose waters are shared by El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua.
