El Salvador's sales to Europe fail to recover

Monday, June 9, 2014

El Salvador's exports to Europe have been dropping constantly since 2011, according to authorities.

In 2011, the Central American country exported goods worth $319 million to Europe, while in 2013 the figure was down to $231 million, said Silvia Cuéllar, director of the country's exports corporation.

She added that one of the main reasons for the poor performances is the country's lack of product adaptation for the European market.
