El Salvador’s textile plants set $2.24 billion export target

The textile and garment industry of El Salvador will achieve growth of 25 percent this year, according to the industry chamber, Camtex.
Exports have grown since 2010. In this year’s first quarter they grew by 23 percent year on year.
If the sector reaches its target, exports will reach $2.24 billion, an increase of $559 million on last year.
