El Salvador’s trade deficit balloons to $1.4 billion in first four months of the year

El Salvador racked up a $1.4 billion trade deficit from January through April, 12.7 percent more than in the same period of last year.
Exports came to $1.8 billion, compared with $3.2 billion in imports.
Among the exports, the most dynamic sector was non-traditional products, such as crafts, medicines, paper and aluminum gods, fruit and venegetables. They came to $1.1 billion.
