El Salvador's trade deficit grows 6.6 percent

El Salvador's trade deficit grew 6.6 percent in the first half of the year, compared to the same period last year, the central reserve bank said.

The figure represents a trade deficit of some $3.06 billion.

The bank said exports grew 3.6 percent in the period, reaching $3.31 billion, while imports grew 5 percent, reaching 6.37 billion.
