El Salvador's trade deficit widens

El Salvador's trade deficit has grown 52 percent in the past five years, the country's central bank reported.
Last year, El Salvador's imports were $5.2 billion higher than its exports.
Meanwhile, the country's exports have grown at an average rate of only 1.7 percent in the past two years, the bank said.
