El Salvador sees drop in sugar production
Wednesday, September 24, 2014
El Salvador will produce some 15.7 million quintals of sugar for the 2013-2014 harvest, according to the country's sugar cane growers.
The figure is lower than the initial forecast of 16.5 million.
The drop is due mainly to a severe drought that has affected most of the Central American region.
