El Salvador will produce some 1.16 million quintals, 46-kilo bags, during the current 2014-2015 coffee harvest, according to Agriculture Minister Orestes Ortez.
The figure is higher by 400,000 quintals compared with the previous harvest.
The higher figure would come as a result of a recovery from a coffee rust plague that has hit Central America's coffee production, and caused El Salvador's production to drop from 1.7 million bags to 730,000 bags last year.
