El Salvador sees rise in corporate responsibilty

During 2012, private companies in El Salvador invested $630 million in social responsibility programs.
The figure was announced by Elena María de Alfaro, president of a local foundation which promotes social action among companies.
She added about 40 percent of the companies that contributed in 2012 will increase their investments this year.
