El Salvador shows stagnant economic activity

El Salvador's economic activity index grew 1.4 percent from January to May this year, the country's central bank said.

The figure is four percentage points less than for the same period last year.

The construction sector was the least dynamic, showing a negative index of -3.4 percent.
