El Salvador soon to unveil largest solar plant in Central America

Next April 1, solar energy plant Providencia 1 is slated to be opened in El Salvador. The plant will have a generating capacity of 101 megwatts, sufficient to light up 200,000 homes.

Neoen, the French company that is developing the project, says it will be the biggest of its type not only in El Salvador but all of Central America.
