El Salvador takes $8.5 million hit on holidays

El Salvador's private sector has asked the country's legislators to withdraw a law that declares June 17, Father's day, a paid national holiday.
The private sector said productivity drops during national holidays.
Data from the country's private sector association shows that companies lose some $8.5 million every national holiday.
