El Salvador to open Australia embassy to boost business and support resident nationals

El Salvador will open an embassy in Canberra this year to meet the consular needs of some 20,000 of its citizens living in Australia.
The embassy will seek to generate new opportunities for cooperation in business, culture, education and sport.
The Salvadorans who live in Australia are based mainly in the major cities.
