El Salvador wary of more trade with China

The Government of El Salvador confirmed to the World Trade Organization its intentions of removing trade barriers with China.

The move however does not mean the country will reactivate diplomatic relations with the Asian giant.

Salvadoran business leaders expressed their concern over an increase in trade with China, due to political commitments it could bring.
