El Salvador's Salume snaps up Banco Azteca

México's Grupo Elektra announced the sale of all the shares of Banco Azteca El Salvador to Grupo Perinversiones, a holding of Grupo Salume.

The transaction was authorized by the Salvadoran regulators. Perinversiones belongs Adolfo Salume Artiñano, who has significant investments in the food and beverage, logistics, real estate, and financial services sectors, Globe Newswire reports.
