Electricity bills stifle companies

High industrial electricity tariffs in Central America are stifling companies’ ability tok compete, according to a study from the Inter-American Development Bank.

Industries in Nicaragua, the region’s poorest company, pay three times as much as their counterparts in the United States, the study says.
