Industry in Honduras is being asphyxiated by frequent power cuts and tariff adjustments imposed in order to compensate fuel increases, business leaders claim.\

At the root of the problem is the crisis faced by the state power company, ENEE, they say.\
\
Jesús Canahuati, a prominent leader of the free-zone assembly plants, said that black-outs and high tariffs are having an “enormous” impact on companies.\
