Energuate contracts biomass, hydro and solar units

Guatemalan power distributor Energuate said it had awarded power purchase contracts for 18 MW of distributed generation based on biomass, hydro and solar energy.

The plants, scheduled to go into operation between May 2015 and December 2016, will allow Energuate to improve the quality of its services and maintain stable voltage, especially for long and rural distribution lines.
