Equifax buys Costa Rican credit reporter Datum. Leading provider of US credit scores already has services in San José

Equifax one of three major providers of credit scores in the United States, said that it has bought Costa Rican credit reporting company Datum.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Equifax said the deal confirms its strategy to grow internationally.

Datum is based in San Jose. Equifax already has a customer service and technology service center in Costa Rica that employs more than 500 people.
