Europe accord not benefitting Guatemala's sales

Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Guatemala's economy has yet to see the benefits of Central America's association agreement with Europe.

The country's exports to Europe have not grown this year, Guatemalan foreign trade vice minister María Luisa Flores said.

Flores attributes the situation to a drop in the price of traditional export products, along with delays in signing the agreement.
