Europe close to being leading export market for Honduras

Europe, and not the United States looks like being the number on export market for Honduras by the end of this year.

Some sources indicate that exports from Honduras to Europe have increased by as much as 30 percent this year, thanks to growing sales of coffee, bananos and fruit in general.

Last year, the US was the leading market for Honduran exports, which reached $1.6 billion and 34.4 percent of the total, while Europe accounted for $1.5 billion.
