European Union becomes leading market for exports from Honduras. Takes top spot from United States, Mexico and Canada

The European Union has become the leading importer of exports from Honduras. In the first half of the year, Europe accounted for 35.3 per cent of the nation’s overseas sales, or $818 million.

The Nafta bloc of the United States, Mexico and Canada took second place with a 30.4 percent share at $705 million.

Central America came third with 18 percent at $418 million.
