European Union plans to invest $300 million in Nicaragua

The European Union plans to invest $300 million in the electrification of Nicaragua’s countryside.
Mendel Goldstein, the representative of the European bloc, said that $7 million will be donated. The remainder will be a loan. No further details were available.
Goldstein also announced that Europe will be launching a $3 million food program to help Nicaragua’s poor.
