Everybody loves ice-cream in Costa Rica

The Costa Rican economy is growing slowly but ice-cream sales are buoyant.

Some 60 brands will be competing this weekend at a fair of traditional and home-made ice-creams in the Antigua Aduana (the old customs house).

Among the innovations at the fair were four that generated one million news reports, according to Google Analytics.

The fair, which has support from government organizations, aims to promote the consumption of ice-cream, La República reports in Spanish.
