Except for Guatemala, regional coffee producers report high volume of exports

The joint exports of nine Latin American coffee producers rose by 19 percent in the last five months, compared with the same period a year earlier.

Mexico and Guatemala were the only countries to report a drop in exports.

The other countries reported major increases: Colombia, 28 percent; Costa Rica, 18; El Salvador, 38; Honduras, 50; Nicaragua, 22; Perú, 9 and Dominican Republic 58 percent.
