Experts call Costa Rican leader populist

The president of Costa Rica's participation in a protest against her Nicaraguan counterpart Daniel Ortega was dubbed populist by political analysts, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The protest was organized in order to show opposition against Ortega's alleged interest to claim Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

But the Costa Rican leader's participation shows clear political interests in improving Chinchilla's popularity, experts said.
