Monday, September 8, 2014

Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced plans to take the internet.org initiative to Mexico, in order to give internet access to more than 60 million Mexicans who currently have no means of using the web.

The figure represents more than half of Mexico's population.

In order to help kick-start the project, Zuckerberg met with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto during an event hosted by Telmex.
