First flight takes off from new airport in Colon, Panama

The first commercial flight from Panama's $58 million Enrique A. Jiménez Airport took place on Friday, four years after its trumpeted inauguration.
A Taeca plane carrying five tons of chocolate took off for San Andrés, Colombia. Taeca received its certification by the Civil Aeronautics Authority on November 16 and is the only company established at the airport.
