Fitch downgrades Banco Internacional de Costa Rica

Friday, September 2, 2016

Fitch Ratings has downgraded Banco Internacional de Costa Rica BICSA. The downgrade reflects the deterioration of the bank's funding profile in recent months, reliance on ordinary liquidity support from the shareholders, Banco de Costa Rica and Banco Nacional de Costa Rica, the agency said.

The rating also considers the bank's moderate profitability, good capital ratios and low delinquency, Fitch added.
