Flying high: AviancaTaca opens 46 new routes

The fusion of Colombian and Salvadoran airlines AvianvaTaca has allowed the opening of 46 new routes since the airline was founded last year.

During 2012, the airline transported 23 million passengers, a 13 percent increase compared to 2011.

AviancaTaca reported earnings for $195 million, almost 60 percent more than in 2011, according to a company release.
