Foreign investments returns Nicaragua’s textile and garment industry to growth
Foreign companies invested $80 million in Nicaragua’s textile and garment industry in the first four months of the year.
The sector now employs 75,000 people who earn between $200 and $400 a month.
The sector is expected to export $1.2 billion this year, a 9 percent increase on 2010 and a return to the levels before the world economic crisis.
