\
Four of Costa Rica’s government-owned banks were the only ones that wanted to manage the trust set up for the privatization of cellphone services.\
\
The banks -- Nacional, Costa Rica, Popular and Crédito Agrícola de Cartago -- presented their bids to the telecoms regulator, Sutel. The winner is to be announced this week.\
\
The winner will manage a fund of $170 million to be funded by Spain’s Telefónica and Mexico’s América Móvil.\
