Franchises seek 10 percent growth a year in region

Guatemalan and foreign companies joined the Progress and Franchises 2010 trade mission organized by the Guatemalan Association of Franchises.
The convention will be attended by government bodies and companies from Brazil, Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica and the United States, as well as the hosts.
Guatemala has 300 franchises of which 75 are locally owned. The event aims to achieve 10 percent annual growth in franchising throughout Central America.
