Frozen Fruit to boost Nicaragua in mango rivalry
Tuesday, April 17, 2012

Frozen Fruit installed a freezing chamber for mangoes in the León department of Nicaragua, which will directly compete with Costa Rica's mango exports.
In 2011, Costa Rican mango exports reached $8.4 million, while Nicaragua exported $3.4 million.
Costa Rica is concerned that Nicaragua will focus mango exports to the same destinations: the Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States.
