Future of Nicaragua Canal plan in disarray

The planning of the Nicaragua Canal is going through a rough patch two months after the Nicaraguan government signed the project with China's HK Nicaragua Canal Development Investment Co.

HK’s Wang Jing said the route of the future canal is virtually defined.

However, the Nicaraguan government, based on environmental concerns, said that the route will not be decided until viability reports have been issued by the Chinese company.
