Garment companies seek to move to Honduras

Garment and textile companies operating in El Salvador have expressed interest in moving their operations to Honduras, said Daniel Facussé, president of the Honduran Manufacturing Association.

Honduras offers companies lower energy costs and a 50 percent subsidy on new employees' salaries for three months.

Honduras's textile sector employs 120,000 people and attracted investment worth $1.06 billion last year.
