GE Marine hires new tugboat fleet for Panama Canal with Cheoy Lee and Marinsa

GE Marine, a unit of GE, and the Panama Canal Authority will commission 13 tugboats for use in the Panama Canal.

All of the ships are scheduled to arrive by June 2012. They will be used to transport tankers and barges through the Canal.

GE’s partners in the project include the authority, Cheoy Lee and Marinsa.
