Government to become top buyer and distributor of food in El Salvador

With its new family farm program, El Salvador’s government is going to become the country’s largest purchaser and distributor of basic grains, milk and other foodstuffs.

Family farms are to be given technical aid and finance to help boost production.

Those who are going to be invited to take part in the plan are 325,000 families identified as provery blackspots in the countryside.
