Guanacaste and Limón spur growth in Costa Rica

Thursday, August 30, 2018

Construction in Costa Rica is growing rapidly outside of the metropolitan area of the capital, particularly in the Pacific Coast provinces of Guanacaste and Limón, in the first half of the year.

Of the two, Guanacaste is the leader, with 36 percent growth compared with the same period of last year, according to Colliers International.

The principal factor in Guanacaste has been the new Coca-Cola operations center being built near the Daniel Oduber airport in Liberia. The Coke complex covers 45 square kilometers.
