Guatemala aims for mobile auction
The Guatemalan government aims to hold an auction for mobile bandwidth before the end of the year, according to the daily El Periódico.
The current band width is insufficient for a country that has 16 million inhabitants and 17 million mobile lines. The auction would be open not only to the current operator, Claro, Movistar and Tigo, but also to newcomers, government officials say.
