Guatemala and Belize seek to resolve border dispute

The Organization of American States says its secretary general, José Miguel Insulza, met with the ministers of foreign affairs from Belize and Guatemala on the protracted territorial dispute between both countries.

The meeting took place in Santiago Chile during the summit of Latin American and European leaders.

Guatemala and Belize, have signed an accord agreeing to let their territorial dispute, which is nearly two centuries old, be settled in the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
