Guatemala and Colombia among worst to work in

Guatemala and Colombia are among the worst countries in the region to work, according to the latest Global Rights Index.

The study showed that the two countries register unfair working conditions and no guarantee to employees' rights.

Among the issues the study revealed are that some companies in both countries evade indemnity payments, suspend or fire employees who seek to negotiate better conditions or salary, as well as force employees to work extra hours with no pay.
