Guatemala and Costa Rica aim to be leaders

Guatemala and Costa Rica, whose $1 billion balance amounts to almost half of Central America’s total trade, aim to take the initiative in the region’s development.
“The two nations have a very important responsibility in becoming motors for regional economic development,” Luis Guillermo Solís, the Costa Rican president, said during a visit to his Guatemalan counterpart, Jimmy Morales.
