Guatemala concludes EFTA free trade talks

Guatemala has successfully ended free trade talks with the European Free Trade Association, comprised by Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

"With this accord, Guatemala's exports will have preferential access to the EFTA markets, and will contribute to boosting investment and help towards creating more jobs in Guatemala," said María Luisa Flores, the Central American nation's vice Minister of Foreign Trade.

Last year Guatemala exported goods worth $16.8 million to the four EFTA countries, including coffee and sugar products.
