Guatemala mulls taking El Salvador to court

Guatemala is considering taking El Salvador to court at the International Trade Organization, due to the problems caused by an $18 tariff which El Salvador imposed in January this year.

The tariff is affecting consumers in both countries, as well as causing delays at El Salvador's border crossings, Guatemalan Deputy Trade Minister María Luisa Flores.

The Central American Integration System said the tariff goes against regional integration.
