Guatemala reports strong growth in exports to Asia

Guatemala exported most of its products to China and South Korea last year, of which the most popular were sugar, honey and shrimp.

Sales to China grew 382 percent and generated $167 million, compared to the $34 million in 2012, the Bank of Guatemala said.

Exports to South Korea generated $151 million, 182 percent more than in 2012.
