Guatemala’s Álvaro Colom announces invitations to bids for oil exploration
Álvaro Colom, the Guatemalan president, announced that two government accords today will launch an invitation to bids for four oil blocks in the north of the country.
“The new areas are expected to increase out crude production from 80,000 b/d to 150,000 b/d,” Colom said at the Central American Energy Fair.
