Guatemala's Alza prepares Caribbean expansion

Guatemalan food company Alza is preparing to expand its business into the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico this year.

The expansion will be carried out through an association with Walmart.

Over the next two years, the firm is also looking to enter the U.S. market, starting with Miami, Alza president Roberto Bueso said.
