Guatemala's coffee exports dropped 8.5 percent in April, according to the country's coffee association.
For the current harvest, authorities are expecting a 7 percent drop compared with the 2012-2013 harvest.
During the last 10 days, international coffee prices have stayed at a steady rate of $2 per pound, said Gerardo León, manager for Guatemala's coffee producer's federation.
