Guatemala’s Energy and Mines minister resigns ahead of key oil exploration tender
Romeo Rodríguez, the Guatemalan minister for Energy and Mines, has resigned after only three months in the post.
Though no official announcement has been made, sources close to Rodríguez said he has quit. No explanation has been offered.
Rodríguez resigned just when bids are to be invited for four oil exploration contracts.
